I chose to learn about robotics because building robots can change the world. The coolest thing that I learned about robots is that they are made to do a lot of different things. Some play ping pong or defuse bombs. I decided to make a film to tell people more about robots. You can see a sample of my script here. If you want to write a script, you have to make sure you use describe the setting and transitions using things like fade in or interior. My favorite part of doing this project was that I can be kind of creative with it.

Cars by Ava
I am going to do a short film, to show how parts in a structure work together to help it to move. I am going to demonstrate this with my assistant, Rhemi, while building a Lego toy car. I learned things about cars like the wheel works with the engine to make the cars move. I also learned about script typing that you need to do one line then move on to the next. You can see a sample of my script below.
Video Game Design by Quinn
I learned about the coding blocks like what to put in the wait blocks. Also how to change the character costumes. Also how to draw and erase on the background. And change the characters size and color. I learned that before you make a game, you have to make a game design document. This tells everyone about the different parts of the game and then everyone can know how to make it. For example, in mine I tell about the control system- you will use the arrow keys to move around. Also the target audience is kids. Please try out my demo!

Robots by Victor
In enrichment, I learned all about robotics. In this script, you can see some of the facts! My favorite thing about robotics was the machinery. I chose it because I love robots. Enjoy!

Monet by Melanie
I choose Monet because Monet is artistic . I love Monet's arts. I think they are pretty and beautiful like the lily- pad painting and he is famous. When I grow up I want to become an artist like he was that is why I choose him as my project. I also learned how to write a script so I can make a video and share what I learned about him.
Amur leopards by Leyla
My project was about Amur leopards I did a voice over but it didn't play my voice in the video so I did a power point. The reason I chose Amur leopards is because there endanger and need help so i'm trying to get people to help them I learned a lot about Amur leopards and how there endangered and I hope you did too have a nice day. :] ;}
Stray Rescue by Gus
I chose strays because not many people are doing things about it. I learned that strays get caught on stuff and then die which is sad for all of us so I made a script about strays and I hope you like it! Strays are abandoned and it is important to know what to do. I learned that script writing is different and you need to have the name of the person above the words that they say. I was going to make mine into a video but I did not have enough time. I am sharing my script below and I hope you like it.
Black footed ferret by Rhemi
The black footed is a small little while i was doing this project i was think how does it eat a prairie dog ? Then i thought it could break it up into pieces and then eat it. I really enjoyed doing this project and learning about black footed ferrets. I chose the black footed ferret because it was a new specie to me i didn't know much about it so i chose it cause i wanted to learn about a new specie. I really enjoyed doing this project and now sharing it i hope you like it! bye.
Dragons by Hannah
My project was the Origin of the Chinese Dragon. I learned a lot about how the different types of dragons mean different things to other people. And the difference between Chinese dragons and Western dragons. I also learned that there are different types of Chinese dragons. I really like dragons and mythical beasts. I learned a lot about scripts too. Like how scripts read 1 page per minute. And that I enjoyed making the script, like how I can control how things look and how the attitude is. Also it got me thinking about other scrips for plays and movies. Like the musical Be More Chill, How many rehearsals did they have to do before they went on Broadway? How many pages was their script?

Spaceships by Ezra and Cai
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/295306898/
We chose spaceships because we were both interested in space. We also chose it because we are interested in machines and engineering. It is important for science research. We chose Scratch because we both have used it before and so other kids can see it and learn too. We wanted to do it because we were both interested in science too. The most interesting thing that we learned was the different parts of the spaceship- the orbiter and the rocket boosters.

Food drive by Ava and Sydney
When we found out that almost 40 million people in the US don't have enough food, we had to take action! So we started a food drive! We really put our hearts in to it so We are going to donate it all to STL area food bank to help people in need. We picked STL area food bank because they donated a lot of meals in St. Louis and we designed our own fliers. We collected food in all of the 3rd grade classrooms and donated it.

LEGO Math by Finn and Oscar
We decided to teach multiplication using LEGO math.We chose LEGO Math because it combines two things that we both like. We learned about multiplication from parents and looking at books. You can click on each slide to see the question then click on the next one to see if you are correct. If you do not know how to multiply, look at our example on the first slide. You can count the dots on the LEGO bricks to find out the answers. We chose to show LEGO math because we think it is more fun than using a worksheet.
