Spaceships by Ezra and Cai

We chose spaceships because we were both interested in space. We also chose it because we are interested in machines and engineering. It is important for science research. We chose Scratch because we both have used it before and so other kids can see it and learn too. We wanted to do it because we were both interested in science too. The most interesting thing that we learned was the different parts of the spaceship- the orbiter and the rocket boosters.

Food drive by Ava and Sydney

When we found out that almost 40 million people in the US don't have enough food, we had to take action! So we started a food drive! We really put our hearts in to it so We are going to donate it all to STL area  food bank  to help people in need. We picked  STL area food bank because they donated a lot of meals in St. Louis and we designed our own fliers. We collected food in all of the 3rd grade classrooms and donated it.

LEGO Math by Finn and Oscar

We decided to teach multiplication using LEGO math.We chose LEGO Math because it combines two things that we both like. We learned about multiplication from parents and looking at books. You can click on each slide to see the question then click on the next one to see if you are correct. If you do not know how to multiply, look at our example on the first slide. You can count the dots on the LEGO bricks to find out the answers. We chose to show LEGO math because we think it is more fun than using a worksheet.

Amur Leopards by Nabela

I chose the amur leopard because I like leopards so I made a poster of them. I also learned that they have thick white or cream fur. My favorite fact is that they live in the forest. They are endangered. We can help them by stop hunting them. I made my poster to raise awareness about the leopards. 

Red Pandas by Mahima

I made a poster because red pandas are endangered. And because I like them. An interesting fact that I learned is that people kill red pandas to make fur hats and fur coats. I think that it is bad for them. To help them we should chop less trees down and kill less pandas to make fur coats. I made a poster to raise awareness about the red panda.

Building a Computer by Antonio

I did this project because I like computers and building computers. I think computers are interesting and the way they work. I had a budget of $1000. And it was kinda hard being on a budget because computer parts are expensive well some of them. And if you're building a computer the most important part is the power supply and the mother board. And why you need a good power supply is because you don't want you other computer parts catching on fire. The motherboard connects all of the other parts together. These are the parts that I would order if I wanted to build a computer.

When I made this game, I learned how to make my character move with arrows on the keyboard. I also learned how to make my characters talk. I learned how to make things happen when different keys are pressed. I learned how to give them health. I learned how to make the background go to different places, like a castle. I worked very hard to make my game adventurous!
